Message to JTL

Yes You heard that right. JTL Ministries. There’s probably someone getting very nervous just reading the title. This article was one I thought extensively about, one I do not take lightly but it is necessary for the sake of the seekers of The Truth. I have broken bread with some of you, shared memories with others so I do not speak about this lightly. Without The Truth, there’s no hope. Christ is The Truth and in Him we find hope.

Over the past week, there’s been very disturbing reports coming out of the organization, one I simply cannot just “shake off” in the name of “Christian unity”. For those of you that don’t know, here are the reports coming from there:

It continues with:

Falsely Accused?

Whether these things have been proven in a court of law, I have no clue. However, this is not completely baseless as I know this is a pattern common to the religious sectors we were brought up in. I like to call it “The Nigerian Gospel”. By the way, it is sad that it’s the secular world that had to expose this and those who profess to have the Light of Christ are very very quiet about this, singing and dancing like nothing happened. This has been happening for years (at least the money part) and people that leave always have stories to tell. if it was just one or two people, fine, maybe they have no basis. But multiple accounts? Here’s what the scriptures testify:

‘You cannot convict anyone of a crime or sin on the word of one witness. You need two or three witnesses to make a case.’

Deuteronomy 19:15

I have heard that all my life from the Nigerian gospel circles. Touch not God’s anointed they say, do not speak out against a “man of God”, do not touch the “apple of God’s eye” and that sort of BS. The question I have for you is who many of God’s prophets were accused of sexual harassment by multiple women? Only Joseph comes to mind (not that I have studied all of scripture), and it was only one person that falsely accused him, one. How many of God’s prophets were accused of stealing from their flock?

Evil is evil and Good is good. A good tree bears good fruit and a bad tree bears bad fruit. It is what it is. There’s no amount of tongue speaking or music that can change that. Error is error and good is good.

What would it take?

At what point do you draw the line, “christian”? At what point do you finally receive The Truth? What would it take? Lies, deceit, fraud, theft and sexual harassment? Where does it end? You keep losing money year in year out with the promise of your life getting better but look at you, you’ve barely made any progress. In fact, you have regressed. The only thing you can say is you got a “church promotion” (of which you’re not even getting paid!). What would it take? Some of you have lost your families, you have dishonored your parents in the name of “doing it for God” even thought this was one of the ten commandments.

Some of you are scared I’ll admit. Some of you even acknowledge that something is wrong but don’t have answers. I have been there. Guess what, a time comes when a choice must be made. You can’t keep rejecting the Truth and expect different results.

As to whether he is guilty or not, everything that is hidden will eventually be brought into the open, and every secret will be brought to light. (Mark 4:22). Everything will be out, all in good time. However, a choice needs to be made.

Choose Life that you may live

“Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!

Deut. 30:19-20 (NLT)

This was a choice The Lord gave Israel and it’s even more relevant to the elect today. Put away you idols, your mindset, your Nigerian gospel instincts and traditions and follow The only One worth following – Christ Jesus. Not just in speech, but in action. We obey because we believe. You have been in Babylon, in Egypt for too long and it is not the Lord’s will that any man perish. Thus saith The Lord:

Therefore, come out from among unbelievers, and separate yourselves from them, says the LORD. Don’t touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you.

2 Cor. 6:17 (NLT)

Come out from that which is unclean and wicked. Stop playing games with Christ. Seek Him while He’s here to be found, pray to him while He’s close at hand. Let go of your wicked ways and your abominable sacrifices. In the past, you could blame ignorance but it’s no longer an excuse. Seek after Christ with all your heart and He will set you free. He is merciful
